E-TICKETS. Online tickets can be purchased through TicketLeap. There is a small service charge. You MUST print out E-tickets that will be presented at the door. Please be sure to print out an E-ticket for each person attending in your party. Tickets showing the bar code on your mobile device are also acceptable. At the admissions table, you will receive your printed food voucher.
FORGOT TO PRINT YOUR E-TICKETS OR HAVE A PROBLEM PRINTING THEM? You can go back to the Niagara Wine & Beer Tasting Fest page on the TicketLeap website at kenancenter.ticketleap.com/niagara-wine-and-beer. Scroll to the very bottom and click the link that says “FIND YOUR ORDERS, and follow the instructions. If you continue to have problems printing your E-tickets, call the Kenan Center at 433-2617. We can access your ticket purchase, print your E-tickets and then email or mail them to you. In most cases, you should be able to print a receipt at the end of your transaction. You can bring this receipt to the event as proof of purchase, and a staff member will have a complete list of all E-ticket purchases. ID may be requested.
Please be aware that no staff is available at the Kenan Center Business Office phone, 433-2617, the day of the event.
I PURCHASED TICKETS BUT THERE IS A FAMILY EMERGENCY AND I CANíT ATTEND. CAN I GET A REFUND? Tickets are non-refundable. We understand that sometimes there are unusual circumstances and will review a request for a refund. If you cannot find someone who can use the tickets, contact the Kenan Center Business Office before January 27. A determination will be made if you will be issued a partial or full refund. Depending on the form of original payment, a refund could take 2 weeks to process. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER THE EVENT.
PARKING & SHUTTLE
Parking in the Kenan Center parking lot is limited and fills up fast. There is additional parking across the street at a community church and on neighboring side streets, as well as additional parking at the Lockport Board of Education building, one block north of the Arena (watch for signs). Shuttle buses will run continuously between the Arena and BOE building starting at 4:00 PM and until the patrons have left the Arena (approximately 9:45 PM.) There is reserved parking for those with VIP tickets on the east side of the Arena. You will be asked to show your tickets to park here.
WRISTBANDS. All attendees will be provided with a wristband at the admissions tables. Your wristband must be worn in order to receive a tasting glass. Pourers will only pour tastings to those people wearing wristbands.
POUR LIMITS. There is a limit of 3 tastings per winery and 2 per brewery. Each attendee receives a complimentary Tasting Journal along with tasting glass. The winery or brewery pourers will stamp or mark their page in your journal when you have received the maximum number of pours. Each beer or wine vendor will pour a sample using only the glasses provided. Wine pour is approximately 1/2 oz. A beer pour is 3 oz.
NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages are available at the Hospitality Table for Designated Drivers. Water is available for $1 a bottle.
FOOD VOUCHERS. Each ticket comes with a $5 food voucher. One voucher can be used per purchase; buyer is responsible for any cost above $5. No change is given if purchase is less than $5. Voucher must be surrendered at time of use. Vouchers can only be used at the designated restaurants in the concession area.
RE-ENTRY. Once you leave the building, you will not be allowed to return.
SMOKING. A designated smoking area is located outside, on the south east side of building (closest to stage).
PURCHASING WINE. Those interested in purchasing wine will receive a supply of numbered stickers at a table in the Arena Annex. Each winery will attach a sticker to any purchases you make and they will be moved to the Coat /Wine Check area where you can pick them up upon leaving by showing your number.
REFUSAL TO SERVE. Any individuals who appear to be inebriated or disruptive can be refused further pours and/or removed from the building by security.
Last call is at 8:45 p.m. The event ends promptly at 9:00 p.m.
Only the Coat /Wine Check will remain open after this time.
BASKET RAFFLE. Tickets may be purchased for $5 per sheet (26 tickets). Deposit a ticket in the bag for any item you are interested in winning. Tickets will be drawn at 8:15 p.m. and posted at the Basket Raffle table at 8:30 p.m. An announcement will be made when the winning numbers are posted. To claim a prize, return to the table and show your ticket to the volunteer. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT. When you purchase tickets, a volunteer will take your name and phone number. If your prize is not claimed, you will be called the following week to claim your prize.
50/50 SPLIT. Look for the 50/50 split table and for volunteers circulating on the tasting floor selling tickets for $1 each or a strip for $5. Winner of the 50/50 split will be announced from the stage at 8:45 p.m. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. If a winner does not step up to claim the prize, another ticket will be drawn until someone claims the prize.
Can I purchase a bottle of wine and drink it on the premises? No. All wine purchases will be removed immediately to the Coat/Wine Check Area.
Can I get more than the maximum number of pours at a particular winery or brewery table? No. The number of pours is limited to keep the lines moving at the tables. Once you have received a stamp or mark on the page associated with a winery/brewery, you will not be permitted to return to that table.
Can I get a rebate if I don’t use my food voucher? No. The food voucher is an extra benefit provided to Niagara Wine & Beer Tasting Fest attendees. If you don’t wish to use your food voucher, you might want to give it to a friend or someone who would like to use it.
What do I do if I want to make more food purchases, but have used my food voucher? You are responsible for paying for all food above and beyond your $5 food voucher.
I would like to take my wine purchases to my car, but return before the event is ended. Can I come back in? You can only exit through the front building doors (NORTH END). When you exit, there will be security guards at the door. Simply tell them that you’d like to take your purchases to your car and re-enter through the same door.
Who do I speak to if there is an issue with a restroom, an inebriated person, or other problem? You can bring your issue to the attention of any of the event volunteers wearing a nametag.
I think I need to call a cab to take me home. Can you provide me with a phone number for cab service? Yes. There will be a list of cab companies at the Arena Office.
